Inserting commas into the number of relations I get 1,232,422,380 which is much larger than the number of relations that should be in the file (https://escatter11.fullerton.edu/nfs/crunching_es.php says it has 251,784,825 relations). So the zlib code called by msieve must have been confused by the corrupt data in the file, it was probably looping returning empty records. But now I know how to get round this sort of problem with gzrecover.

Similar problem with this job but gzrecover got me 195M unique. Not enough to build at TD=120 but there is/was still 3M+ rels outstanding. I'll try again later after more rels come in.
