I've emailed the user for his last save file and his results.txt file.
From the very limited information at this point, the report looks legitimate! The reported prime is larger than M#41 and is NOT ten million digits.

Alright, how many digits does it have? Or is that to early to tell?

Using: http://www.apfloat.org/apfloat/mprintc5.zip Assuming I did everything right, I get 7,816,230 digits... The file is here: http://www.mersenneforum.org/txt/25964951.txt However, I'm making a lot of assumptions here...

Not to be a pest, but are there any updates on the status of this new prime?
Does it "look" real? When is verification expected to be completed? Has this just been luck or have the number of participants increased enough to "justify" the increased frequency of primes being found? Last fiddled with by sailor on 20050224 at 19:37

The newest information is available in this thread.
Expected completion time is Friday night. The results.txt was sent and contained no error. Unfortunately, the prime95 version was too old so that the save file has been already deleted.

We have been on a lucky streak. From 3.1 million to 20 million we were unlucky. Now from 20 million to 30 million we are quite lucky.
