Default ...1277 Factored!

.
(Edit 2020-09-30: original thread title: "1277 Factored!")

Well, it has a 299 in front, but I am sure you people are clever enough not to care about such small difference...

Made you click!

For records, this was just random assignment, which turned out nice. I didn't hunt for it.

1. I thought you mean 2^1277-1, but the link says it is not.
2. For the factor of 2^2991277-1, though it is less interest than 2^1277-1, it is still a interesting number. For time to time, I give a look to the count factored in range 0M-1M, 1M-2M, and 2M to 3M.
3. It is a little strange that mersenne.org log not include B1 and sigma information.

For prime exponents p ending in 1277 up to 2991277, the following Mp are known to be composite but no factors are known.

801277 No factors below 270
1011277 No factors below 271
1191277 No factors below 268
1471277 No factors below 268
1671277 No factors below 268
1891277 No factors below 268
1921277 No factors below 268

That's indeed strange, and well spotted! None of the factors I found for a while with THIS computer has any reported B1/B2 or Sigma, in spite of the fact that they WERE reported correctly to the server. My log file says that I reported:

Code:
{"status":"F", "exponent":2991277, "worktype":"ECM", "factors":["8222494110478498955063"], "b1":50000, "b2":5000000, "sigma":3400619406816790, "stage":2, "curves":3, "fft-length":163840, "security-code":"4D277D28", "program":{"name":"Prime95", "version":"29.8", "build":6, "port":4}, "timestamp":"2020-09-17 20:34:08", "user":"LaurV", "computer":"3tits", "aid":"D6776C9977866F0A097B98129BF91EBF"}
Other computers I use have correct B1/B2 reported for all F and NF results. This only has NF results with B1/B2. There is however, no sigma in P95 reports (?!?).

George/Aaron/James?

Don't do that. I almost had a stroke when I saw the thread title.

The server has the data. Aaron's "pretty print" routine is choosing not to display it.

Good to know. Thanks George. However the sigma for ECM could be displayed for factors, at least when "detail view" is chosen, that's a "proof", and also useful if somebody needs to "reconstruct" the run, or for whatever reason (on the other hand, such people are very few and they will ask )

(edit my silly joke is at least leading to some useful info/action, hihi, now we can change the title of the thread, to avoid someone having heart attack I will let those with more inspiration to do it. I mean, to change the title, but if for any reason somebody has more inspiration in having heart attacks, be my guest... For the records, original title: "1277 Factored!")

There seems to be a sudden drop in posts by the the forum regulars after this thread was started.
I hope they don't end up in the RIP thread.

Please be careful LaurV. Not all the members are young and healthy like me you know.
