Default What to do?

All things to do in the Wiki will be collected here.

Work to do time by time:
- Wanted pages: ~350 (2019-Feb) all links to pages not yet created, perhaps some could be deleted/not linked
- checking external links for accessibility: references/links in Wikipedia get a date of last check -> template to create here?

Help pages
- Wiki rules : created
- basics wiki editing : needs more details/examples
- math editing/rendering: done
- talk pages :
- categorization

Pages to create from old Wiki:
- Cunningham tables
- Home Prime
- other collections of results in prime hunting/searching or factoring: Aliquot, Leyland, Fermat, Proth, Riesel, Woodall/Cullen, Carol/Kynea, Williams, Twins, generalized Fermat, Repdigit, Brent tables, Lucas, Fibonacci, Smarandache, ...

Templates to do:
- external pic (example without templ.)
- infoboxes for
- 1. person
- 2. project (created)
- 3. program/software
- 4. number : created for Mersenne prime
- Nav boxes
- calling simple graphs
- creating the glossary like the shortcuts
- references & reflist

Done:
- last edit of page as infobox/template: example shows 5x "As of Sept. 2008", so updating needs these all changed -> see Last update

Last fiddled with by kar_bon on 2019-03-09 at 20:58 Reason: infobox project

Things to do next:

1) Create some short versions of template Kbn with links to other sequnces and other texts.
Example: Generalized Woodall base 4 contains many normalized number forms to Riesel k-pages and "Near Woodall" texts.

2) Mass reservations
Primegrid reserved/running for example Proth search for k=3 to 9999. Instead of editing 5000 pages with reservation dates and max search ranges, add a page with those values which can be read by the Proth template if needed. The same should be done for Riesel side.
PrimeGrid runs several subprojects (different k-values and search ranges done) over Proth primes so I need different mass reservations.
Concept is in mind and will be tested the next days.

The problem for mass reservations (in the Wiki "Multi Reservation" called) is solved:

Every Mult.Res. contains of several pages used like a template-call. Creating a page with the template will show links to the pages, which have to be saved with the parameter. (Calling these parameters like a template is faster and easier than query it.)

The template for "Proth prime" was changed to support this:
if the parameter "PMultiRes" is filled with a value (the ID of the Mult.Res) the paramters for contributor, max n-value and date will be derived from that and not from the page of the Proth prime.
Example: k-value 301 do not contains those parameters but look like the other values.
The category "Reserved" is not set here, because about 5000 k-values in the "My reservations" section for PrimeGrid are confusing.

Advantage:
Updating the date-parameter of the Mult.Res. all pages with the Mult.Res.-ID given will show this date without editing every Proth prime serarately.

In the table a "(M)" behind the contributor show the use of a Multi Reservation (and linked to).

If a Multi Reservation ended an admin function can insert the paramters for all to make those pages 'normal' Proth prime pages (without Mult.Res).

The same has to be done for the Riesel side.
