Passengers are happy doing a steady 80 mph.

They are also qute happy cornering, accelerating or braking hard
(although the latter should be preserved for unforseen emergencies)

What they don't like is the third derivative:
sudden changes of acceleration.

What I don't like is when I feel like the driver is tailgating and about to slam into someone. I usually get scared, make a gesture, and that makes the driver slam on the brakes.
