I guess if I run Prime95 and mfaktc at the same time, both of my CPU and GPU heat up quicker than individually, maybe another reason why Ben Delo never performs the trial factoring on any exponents when mass PRP testing.

Other users have their solid rights to return the PRP assignments to the server if they don't like those, however Ben Delo has always finished them without any emotions - https://www.mersenne.org/report_expo...exp_hi=&full=1 I just don't see why it's a dirty work to run P-1 factoring on that exponent above, much cleaner than most of the Democrat politics. Do you literally understand even the first thing about how GIMPS works? Or how computers work?

Bringing politics into a math thread is a quick way to get the thread closed. You seem to post in order to get attention, so I suggest you not take such actions.

What I don't understand is why it's not okay to request PRPs on certain exponents? All the works ultimately benefit GIMPS not only me unless I submit an incorrect result. I thought many users had the extra PCs which I only have 1. If I can buy a new PC next year, then PRPs may become much easier. Last fiddled with by tuckerkao on 2021-04-08 at 04:24 |

Do what work you want to do. But, don't expect others to do the work that you want them to do. If you have some dumb reason that you think some number is more likely to be prime than another, test it yourself. If it is prime, your name will go into the record books. If some one else tests it, you won't even be a footnote.

How many days will it take for AMD Ryzen™ Threadripper 3970X 3.7GHz [4.5GHz Turbo] 32Core 64Threads 144MB L3 Cache 280W Processor to run PRP of M168,347,321?
I have to know the answer before I buy something like that. I keep getting NF-PM1 and NF since I only test certain exponents with the 5 or 7 unit digit when written in the dozenal base, but like you said, I cannot conclude until at least 300 results been submitted.
