No factors found

The current report in PrimeNet of results looks strange:

http://www.mersenne.org/report_recent_cleared/

It looks as if no factors have been found since May 13.

I suppose that is not correct, is it?

I would assume that it has to do with the fact that the Primenet server is currently (at least the last few hours) unavailable. So no-one can report results just at the moment.

Call it a guess, but I think the people doing GPU work has increased dramatically over the last few days and submissions of factors require the server to validate them (not just adding results to database) and the validation is causing massive spike in load.

I can seem to submit no factor TF results, but factor results are causing pain.

Unlikely. Validation would be a 1000x faster than a db operation.

IIRC, Primenet server already validates factors.

True. But reporting a factor would require a validation plus a db operation, or two.

George and/or Scott fixed the server yesterday....it's now working properly, as far as anyone can tell.....
