Nice drying guys!

The timing was good on my end too. Port 6000 on drive 2 finished up the day I got back. It took me a day before I could get in and check my machines so I had 3 machines idle for just over a day. I can't complain about that at all.

So...I take it that all that is left on drive 2 is manual reservations?

I think it's better to put Jasong's ranges on LLRnet server port 6000. Gary and IronBits?

I'm fine with that. I'll wait for the *official* word tho.

Port 6000 = port 500 right?
To keep the confusion down, I decided to let you guys pick the port number you want to use,
I'll remap it to what I need on my end.

Yep, though I think you're actually using port 6000 for the new Sierp. base 6 server (but mapped to port 6 on your router), right? So, I would think that it wouldn't be available to put another server on?

Of course, you could still use port 500 mapped to another port. But I'm thinking we should put it on a different port entirely to avoid confusion--maybe port 7000?

As for the "official" word, I say go for it, I'm sure Gary would approve too.

Port 7000 it is - up and running
working on 2640-2650
Anything else you want to toss on there, or we just gonna bleed this one dry?

Well, I guess since that's essentially all there is left of the 2nd Drive except for a few of Carlos's manual ranges, we don't really have anything more to put on it.

If people wanted, though, there is one other option of something we could run on that server: k=1003. It's essentially the next k up from k=1001, the upper end of the NPLB range, and I have it reserved and am working on it personally. It's a very low-weight k, so it won't take long to plow through it (I have it sieved up to n=500K; I'm at about n=325K right now), so it might be an interesting one to run as a little "side effort" on LLRnet. Especially since we've got the server available anyway.

Opinions, flames, rotten tomatoes?

I put one core on 7000 ...

Give me the juice to slap at the end of the knpairs.txt
Make mine steak please.
I have room for oh, about another 1,000 ports for servers, and plenty of bandwidth.
Don't be shy ;)

Okay, here's the knpairs for k=1003, n=350K-500K. (I'll keep up to 350K for myself for manual LLRing. )

Okay, cool.

BTW, a little while ago I grabbed 500 k/n pairs from the port 7000 server and 200 from the port 6 server, and have one on each core of my Core 2 Duo. Let the dumpage begin! (Okay, you can tell there I've been reading too much of the Free-DC forum. )
