Default Should a diskless node run it's own ecm program or should I combine them somehow?

Sometime in the next 2-3 weeks(if my mother adheres to her promise to get her stuff out of my room) I intend to make a diskless Linux node which will probably start out by doing ecm work. Unfortunately, I'm not really familiar with the way ecm works, so I'm not sure if each node should have it's own instance or they should somehow work together.

What should I plan on doing?

Each machine should have its own instance.

ECM is essentially perfectly parallelizable in that each machine can run its own set of curves without any need to communicate with any other machine. The only requirement is that the machines run different curves --- that is, use different values for the parameter "sigma". If your ECM implementation and your machine's random number generator are any good, this will almost certainly be the case.
