We put the system into the case temporarily until all of the water-cooling parts we have ordered arrive.

By default, the front three RGB fans are behind the case frame so you get a weird outline of the frame visible through the fans.

We chopped out some plastic from the front mesh cover and fit all three fans in front of the frame.

We tested the 6144K FFT on three platforms today.

Linux (Fedora 33)
Windows (Windows 10 Pro "20H2")
Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL1/Debian "Buster").

The CPU was power limited to 165W and the same version of Prime95/mprime was used for all of the tests.

The raw data is attached as text files below.

We have noticed that this system runs Linux much better than it runs Windows. Maybe it is because Linux's CPU scheduler is better or something. (We are very sensitive to system responsiveness.)

We copied some files yesterday in Windows. The system can obviously feed the memory faster than it can feed the SSD so it used all of the system memory to cache the files. We thought that was pretty neat. See the attached picture below.

Anyways, given how stupidly fast this system is in Linux, we will use that as our primary OS. We had planned to run Linux in a virtual machine under Windows but it performs so much better on bare metal.

While it is obvious that this system should be very fast, we are still surprised at just how fast and responsive it is.

Earlier today we requested and received a refund for the Windows 10 "Pro" license we bought.
