The 450k2M range is now sieved to 8T. There are 81632 candidates or 52.67 per 1000 n's. The prevailing opinion is that g167 most likely checked the range to n=601158 where he found a prime. Therefore, I'm releasing both 450500k files which have a certain doublechecking "flavor" and files from 600k where a new prime is more likely.
This is a long term project and we are not in hurry. Feel free to check one of these files as you like. But I'd like to propose the following: if/when somebody finds a prime at n>600k he is obliged to test a few n<600k files if by that time there are still some left unprocessed BTW, here are FFT lengths used by LLR (versions 3.6 and 3.7) to test primality of 17*2^n1 (output of Thomas' fft_len) on Pentium4 cpu's: Code:

Huge congrats to Alex on the first NEW k=17 prime found by RPS:
17*2^6053941, 182243 digits I have to say I didn't expect anything before 620630k, even higher. :surprised This is now a oneway street, and primes are straight ahead!
