I would like to change my settings to get more out of my computer, without bricking my computer in the process.

any help on new settings would be greatly appreciated. I have included a screen shot of my benchmark test and cpu specs

There's not much you can do without upgrading hardware. The slow DDR3-1600 is a big bottleneck.

thanks.

What about my configured memory usage? Under Computer properties in my Mersenne.org profile it says I have

"Computer Memory 16384 MB, and configured usage 8MB Day / 8 MB Night"

Is it safe to bump up the memory usage? would this yield faster results?

Yes. No.

Unless you are doing P-1 work, Prime95/mprime only uses about 50 MB of RAM per LL/DC test.

Years ago candidates would often be handed out for a LL test without the P-1 test already done. Nowadays there are a group of people who focus on Trial Factoring (TF'ing) and/or P-1'ing before such assignments are given, and so such workers can immediately start the LL test.

So, unless you ask for an assignment outside of the normal ranges (332M, for example) the RAM settings make no difference, and will not speed up the test.
