Can I use my existing account in GPU72?

Well I want to try GPU72 to get wavefront assignments easier but I don't want a new account for it because I want all my credits to go to one account. I tried logging in with my PrimeNet ID and PW, then failed. But when I sign up and fill Username with my PrimeNet ID it says the name is already taken.

OK... Cool. We welcome any and all help feeding the various wavefronts.

GPU72 and Primenet are entirely different systems (although there's a lot of IPC between them). So a new account needs to be created on GPU72 in order to get assignments.

But, importantly, all work you do is submitted back to Primenet, so you get all the credits there for any work done. Within 30 minutes (usually within 10) GPU72 will "observe" the submitted results, and credit you on GPU72 as well.

Is there any chance you tried creating an account long go, and have forgotten? If you PM me the account name in question, I can have a look.

If you are talking about First Time primality checking, your best way of getting assignments is usually through PrimeNet. As your machine gets proved reliable, you can get "better" assignments (Category 0, 1, and 2). (https://www.mersenne.org/thresholds/) Category 4 are further out, but many of those don't get turned back in.

If you are talking about Trial Factoring, yes GPU72 is the best place to get assignments. The work is being managed to be optimal for the current need with the currently available workforce.
