Default Cert work for returned PRP

I downloaded the latest client so I could try out the new PRP proofs. It took me about two months because I didn't let it run straight through, but I got it done.

I completed exponent 111970493

I noticed other PRP results have a CERT task that runs right after it, but this one is pretty old and still hasn't had a CERT done on it.

Just curious as to why?

To rule out a simple possibility, check that the proof was actually uploaded. Is the proof still in your Prime95/mprime folder? If not, that's why it hasn't been done (the server doesn't have it to assign to someone).

Ah, there is a file in prime95 called p111970493.proof

So how do I get that fella uploaded? The readme.txt says it should be done automatically. I open my client but it doesn't do anything, and manual communication has no option to upload it.

I'd vote for implementing this feature.

Make sure you use the latest 30.3 build 6 then it should upload automatically after it has been open for awhile.

I think the auto upload started around build 4 or so, but best to use the newest one.

I will not upload immediately when you open Prime95/mprime, just let it run for awhile.

Well now that is interesting (I verified I am using build 6). I remember when this task finished, I happen to be at the computer watching it happen. As soon as it completed, and I saw the result appear on my results page on Mersenne.org, I closed down Prime95 and went back to my happy trial factoring using mfaktc.

I didn't realize it wouldn't update at the time of completion.

So, I just now opened up prime95 and let it sit for a bit...and within 5 minutes or so it showed me the MD5, proof files size etc. Then it uploaded it. Looks like the PRP proof certification is already underway.

Thanks everyone.

Yep, there are some megabytes to go.
