Default "Factoring only" results / stats in account details page

Hi,

I just noticed on my team's stats page that the results found by those assigned computers who just do factoring instead of the full Lucas-Lehmer test do not appear in the statistics at all.

I assume that this is intentional, and it's understandable, too, since mere factoring does, obviously, not provide a definite answer to the question whether a given Mersenne number is prime or not, but it would be nice to have some statistics on this as well - maybe in the form of an extra table listing the exponents for which factoring was attempted, the outcome and the CPU time used.

Is there any chance for something along these lines to happen? It's just sad to see the work being done go entirely unnoticed. :)

If your team is in the top 100 for factoring here is a link for the stats.

and for 101 to 500

There are more listed on

Ars Technica Team PrimeRib has factoring stats pages tracking the top 500 factoring teams/users.

Ah, thanks. Currently, we're #4702 in the list of top factoring producers. ^_~

It'd still be nice to have information about this on the account stats page, though.

There is a "Cleared Exponents" table where exponents that have been LLed composite or factored appear. Any exponent not factored will get released for a LL test, which is why it doesn't show up. You do get credit though.

As for the second part, the v5 server is currently being worked on, so you could suggest that feature. However I tend to doubt it would be implemented as there are other concerns that are larger since v5 is a rebuild from the ground up.
