How do I get LARGE numbers

Hi All,

How would I get Prime95 to pick up a large number 50-70M mark and still get credited on Primenet??

If you want a number to test larger than 35mil, you will have to email george personally and get him to assign you one.

Before you start a test on a number that big, make sure that you have made sure that it is a stable machine first by doing a couple of doublechecks. Also, it might also be worth doing the doublecheck at the same time so if a error does occur, you can back it up and pick the test up from before where the error occured.

What do you mean by "security code". I am assuming that you mean the residue at the end of the test.

As far as I know, it will be regarded as valid double check.

The "security code" is something after the program version, eg WZ1: ...
The way to compute security codes is not revealed in the source code.
Obviously, this is to prevent cheating.
If the security codes are computed the same way both for Test= and DoubleCheck=, then I do the test once, but say I did twice, you won't know the difference.
Normally, the double check is done by different person. And the Res64 (residue) is kept secret (by primenet) until double checked.

If you do the test twice you will get a different shift count and thus a different security code.
