Hi everyone!
I'm looking for a general-purpose factorization library for integers of any size (i > 2^64, but may be -much- bigger). I tried msieve, but it fails from time to time and most disturbingly, it calls exit(-1) in some cases. Is it possible to use yafu as a C library (or parts of it)? Is somebody using yafu that way? I tried reading my way through the code, but it looks quite difficult. Kind regards |

Well... for anything less than 100 digits, it might be possible to compile it as a library -- but for implementing NFS, it delegates to Msieve -- and we've run into the same issue of some unfortunate exit()s.
