Fred Ward, actor in Tremors and Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins. The latter is one of the really fun movies I remember from the 80s.

His music for The Bounty was also surprisingly effective in a very nontraditional way. Underrated film IMO, very checkered development history, originally a longstanding project of director David Lean, who "was ultimately forced to abandon the project after overseeing casting and the construction of the Bounty replica which cost $4 million". Look at the cast! just off the top of my head: Mel Gibson (playing Fletcher Christian; Christopher Reeve having been originally cast in the role but having dropped out at last minute), Anthony Hopkins, Edward Fox, Bernard Hill, Daniel Day-Lewis, Liam Neeson and of couse Laurence Olivier in one of his last film appearances as the admiral heading Bligh's later court-martial.
