Sorry, been insanely busy lately, I will try to build a new binary of the latest SVN just in case it helps anything.

Jeff.

hmmmm... yes, it looks like this, 60M-67M and 68M-70M seem to be the last reserveable ranges.

Currently we (hmmm, I say "we" - my contribution was just ~0.7%) have collected 331.9M relations. With your pending 70M-80M range and the still reserveable ranges I expect that we will get a total of ~394M raw relations.

How many relations do we need? Are 394M relations enough for a c187?

Edit: If Jeff finds some time to build a windows binary of SVN 400, I will reserve another subrange for testing purpose. (I want to see whether the bug that causes the crashes under windoze is still there.)

As of last night, I had 398807014 relations collected, of which 305034940 unique; this is enough to build a matrix at target-density 70, with the matrix about 23 million on a side - already a bit smaller than M941 without pulling out any stops.

Bruce offered last night to sieve 160-190, which should give enough more relations to build a smaller, denser and with luck faster matrix at td=130 or so.

It would be tidy to finish the gaps in the lower ranges, but I will start the linalg once 160-190 is in whatever has happened at the lower ranges.

... and in RE: @Tom's (what seems to be) uncharacteristic willingness
to bypass a tidy completion of 20M-160M, I'm starting to experience
twitches about leaving these small q's un-run. So in a spirit of 'forum
completist-ism I'm reserving 60M-67M.

Looks like our gnfs176 will finish sieving today; maybe tomorrow if
our grad computing person is active. In view of the latter, I may need
most of the next week to finish my current 700K + 30M, if anyone else
is willling/able to supply the now missing 200K range within that time
frame.

Regards, and Happy New Year, Bruce

Ok now that I'm back from my Christmas holidays, I built SVN 400, but haven't had time to test it, you can find them at the usual spot: http://gilchrist.ca/jeff/factoring/

Please let me know if it helps.
