Exponent disappeared from my assignments

I'm looking at my assignments page:

There is a double check exponent that I've been working on for more than 2 weeks and is due in 5-6 days, that doesn't appear there. It is in my worktodo.txt

There is also a DC exponent that's there on the page with an assigned date of 29th September, that I don't remember having before and is not in my worktodo file.

I have mprime to communicate automatically with server. However when I updated to v30 I have accidentally gotten new exponents that I immediately unreserved and removed from my worktodo. I might have messed up there.

Is there anything that can be done to fix it?

The page says "expired 2020-09-27" but I'm pretty sure I got it around this time. Can anyone please explain what could have happened here?

Looking back at my history, my previous exponent was finished 2020-10-01 (53444257), and I remember this one taking its place, so it must have been assigned about 3 days earlier.

You got the assignment on 9-27 at 06:00. About 9 hours later Ryan's result was turned in. You are correct that your partially completed result is not necessary. You could finish it for a triple-check or to verify your hardware is working well, but the GIMPS project does not need the result..

Why does this happen? It would be Ryan's "fault". GIMPS has assignment rules where exponents are "recycled" due to inactivity. As you can see from the history of your exponent, this is necessary as lots of assignments are never completed. Your exponent was recycled, you got the assignment, and Ryan turned in his result late.

Sorry this happened to you. Fortunately it is not an extremely common occurrence.

No problem. I was afraid it's my mistake of of accidentally unreserving the exponent while moving to v30.
I just wish I'd noticed it sooner. I don't visit my assignments page regularly and mprime doesn't inform you that one of your assignments has been since submitted.

Feature Request: a "You done been poached, son." message that comes when you contact the server to give a progress update on a number that's already turned in. Maybe a sad guitar sound.
