It should start later today after the remaining production P-1 on that RadeonVII GPU / Gpuowl V6.11-380 complete. If it runs nonstop, B1=5000000,B2=240000000 ~6 days. I sometimes interrupt the big ones for more production P-1, a DC, etc.

Why? What does that have to do with a Cat0 DC lingering without expiration too long?

Absolutely nothing at all. I was just curious as to how long a P-1 on that high of an exponent would take.

That's off-topic in a server problems thread. And typically already addressed in the reference info, such as for gpuowl P-1 the run time scaling post on selected GPU models.

This seems to happen every now and then (days to expiration going to -1), and it cleans up the next day. I asked the same thing many months ago.

(It's not really poaching if it's past expiration due...) Last fiddled with by kriesel on 2021-08-25 at 21:17

Except when the assignment was given to a legitimate user in the mean time ! Poaching even with all the good reasons a poacher can imagine remains poaching.
From my prime.log file this morning :
Code:
Getting assignment from server
PrimeNet success code with additional info:
Server assigned Lucas Lehmer primality double-check work.
Got assignment D280B54A449AAB9C0D655A3A6B02D0CE: Double check M56995189
Sending expected completion date for M56995189: Aug 28 2021
I suppose it would have been removed from my assignment queue after the next sending of results to the server, and after I had completed 2/3 of the job since I started by reordering my worktodo this morning.

The minimum you could do is RESERVE the exponents you poach !

In other words : I don't thank you for poaching especially in prime CAT 0 territory :-(

Concerning the -1 expiry I suppose it is caused by exponents expiring while the daily scripts are running. They are always assigned the next day.

A not very happy Jacob

It's always poaching unless the server has assigned it to you.

I'm sorry. My intent was to report a completed test before it got reassigned to anyone.

(Can't reserve them while the server has them assigned to someone who has not provided an update in months, even when it's past expiration date.)
