Default Queued-up work question

If I do not want another exponent assigned to a particular machine once it is done checking the current exponent, but I don't want to pick the option to Quit GIMPS, can I just set the maximum number of days of work to queue up to zero?

Quit GIMPS affects only the one machine, so you can use it.

But I think that Quitting GIMPS will also stop the current test and unreserve the exponent. True?

No - it gives the option of quitting immediately or after current work finishes.

You can use Quit GIMPS or you can use the following line in your prime.ini

NoMoreWork=1

Thanks for the responses, everyone. I like the NoMoreWork=1 better than quitting GIMPS. Quitting GIMPS just sounds so final!

Anyway, if NoMoreWork=1 will tell it not to get any more exponents for now, then NoMoreWork=0 will allow it to queue up work normally again, with no impact at all on the PrimeNet database or CPU credit, then I'm happy!

Also, don't forget to quit and restart the client so that it re-reads the prime.ini file.

I'd just delete the line NoMoreWork=1

Just a personal preference.
