The first one is ironic dark poetry. None of the slobbering love stuff! I have two sci fi novels in the works and am working on a childrens book at the moment.

WELCOME TO THE HUNT PASIONFLOWER2. WHAT I HOPE YOU'LL FIND IS THE PEOPLE AROUND HERE ARE A GREAT BUNCH, AND ARE WILLNG TO ANSWER ANY QUESTONS YOU MIGHT HAVE. HOPE YOU GET THE MERSENNE BUG LIKE THE REST OF US AND KEEP ON SEARCHING. THE GREATEST THING IS THAT IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN ABOUT 2 YEARS SINCE THE PRIME BEFORE THIS ONE WAS FOUND, BUT SOMEONE COULD FIND ANOTHER ONE TOMORROW AND THAT SOMEONE COULD BE YOU.
GOOD LUCK AND KEEP A HUNTING
LARRY

Is that related to the paradoxical dark poetry of D.H. Rumsfeld?

A Confession
Once in a while,
I'm standing here, doing something.
And I think,
"What in the world am I doing here?"
It's a big surprise.

Here's a link more complete set of Rummy's poems:

http://slate.msn.com/id/2081042/

My personal favorite is the hypnotic cadence of

Clarity
I think what you'll find,
I think what you'll find is,
Whatever it is we do substantively,
There will be near-perfect clarity
As to what it is.

And it will be known,
And it will be known to the Congress,
And it will be known to you,
Probably before we decide it,
But it will be known.

Default One of my poems

Grass Meanies

By Noreene M. Bailey

Stay off the grass!
Darn those warning signs,
watchdogs over lush portraits of green.
My toes tingle in my sneakers
aching to strip and streak
through lush damp herbavoric blades,
locked in rubber concrete pounders.
Angry and cramped
my painted toenails debut
restrained in canvass.
Grass is forbidden now
a luxury designated to dimpled white balls
chemically nurtured masterpieces
of living cultivated status symbols
now forbidden from tickling toes
or tempting idle children
into mown seas of endless imaginations
even characteristic dandelions
are uninvited pariahs of gardening
Forgotten are their magic
small fingers holding their wands
blowing seeds of dreams
parachutes of hopes
of adults they want to be
My toes rarely escape shoes now
they are prisoners of culture
ordered to concrete paths
angular, linear and hard
unforgiving if you stray
