The Ottawa Citizen (my city newspaper) interviewed me today for a story on M41, and they even took my picture. The story is supposed to be on the first few pages of tomorrow's (Thur.) paper so I will see if I can get it scanned in and post it somewhere (it also might be on their website, not sure).

It should be interesting to see how the reporter actually wrote up the story since I did not get a chance to see what he wrote.

Jeff.

They are part of the Canada.com network, so it will most likely be online. I will check the Vancouver Sun tomorrow to see if the sister papers picked it up across the nation.

Well, still not a lot, but it's still getting better. Yahoo now shows relevant results, and we're nearing 14 TFlops again.

They just put a "teaser" blurb online:
http://www.canada.com/ottawa/ottawac...7-064404e16ce9

I think you have to subscribe to get the full story.

I haven't had a chance to pick up the newspaper yet today but I already received a call saying that it is on the FRONT PAGE!!

Error detected: Here, try this: 2 times 2, 24,036,583 times, minus 1

"2 times 2, 24,036,583 times, minus 1" = (2^24036582) - 1. This is only ([M41]/2) + 0.5.

And this next site (http://itmanagement.earthweb.com/it_...le.php/3361501) made some questionable assertions:

"Of the 240,000 computers networked onto the grid, Woltman says 20,000 to 40,000 computers are active at any one time. The grid covers virtually every time zone in the world.

Woltman estimates that the grid, which is comprised of businesses, universities and home users, does 20 trillion calculations a second."
