But http://www.mersenne.org/primenet/ says that we have only 68520 machines.

Maybe it's 200,000 computers over the course of the entire project, many of which have now, of course, been retired.

That may be true, but only 94090 machines have ever returned a result. Although there are machines that have returned only factoring results that aren't included in this count, there aren't 100000 of them, and it seems like cheating to count computers that have never done anything useful.

I have seen that M40 is M41 on the net. Also that M41 has 6.3M digits. So take "news reports" with a bunch of NaCl
