Im changing OS on one of my boxes to linux from w2k. Is it possible to take the half worked on prime from prime95 to mprime?
Ive never used mprime, but is it just a case of editing the worktodo file and copying in the data files? will they need to have lf/cr mods on the data files? Thanks, Jim |

AFAIK, you just have to copy the whole directory from Win folder to Linux.

From experience moving exponents around from Win95 and NT4 to Linux (and back again once), you need to move the info in the worktodo.ini file and all of the partial results files (the ones with the funky filenames like pX399403 and qX399403 etc.
You also have to run *THE SAME VERSION* - as in 23.2 - or the client will give you a 'different client' error and start from scratch. |
