Hi All,
I uploaded today the stable (I hope!) version 3.8.9 of the LLR program. You can find it now on my personal site : http://jpenne.free.fr/ The 32bit Windows and Linux compressed binaries are available as usual. The Linux 64bit binaries are also released here. I uploaded also the complete source in a compressed file ; it may be used to build the Mac-Intel executable and also the 64bit Windows binary. This LLR version is the same as 3.8.8, but linked with the Version 27.7 of George Woltman's gwnum library. I released also a cllrd binary, which is linked with the debug version of the gwnum library. The only difference with the Development version 3.8.9 is that, now, there are no more calls to gessCpuSpeed() function at init, to avoid time consuming at init on some machines. As usual, I need help to build the 32bit Mac Intel binary, and also the 64bit Mac Intel and Windows ones. Please, inform me if you encountered any problem while using this new version. Best Regards, Jean |

There was one Mac built using a 32-bit Intel Core (not Core 2) CPU. A pity really, as I could release a prime95 of roughly half the size if I could ditch 32-bit support.

I wasn't aware of that. I just assumed that the oldest Macs with Intel CPUs had Core 2 Duos as I had the first MacBook Pro with one.

All WU are started and finished in +/- 2 seconds! Perfect... Thanks for this release! |

I changed my cllr 3.8.6 (if I remember it correctly ) to cllr64 3.8.9.
This is nice performance boost . Doing psp-project and working on 13M range. Going from 18 ms per iteration down to 8 - 10 ms per iteration. Wery nice work. Last fiddled with by japelprime on 2012-06-22 at 11:13 |

I wouldn't worry too much about the file size. Prime95 has a very small footprint compared to most other software packages; 25 MB is still minuscule in today's standards.

Sorry for the offtopic but I was looking for some LLR benches on the following CPU's at standard frequency:
i7-3770K - HT off i7-2600K - HT off i7-3930K - HT off E7-8870 - HT off AMD Opteron 6284 SE Number to test is 5*2^3090860-1. Please post results in seconds (only use one core, rest of cores idle), as example: i7-xxxxK, HT off, LLR version X.X.X 32/64 bits Windows/linux 1 core, DDR3 xxxx MHz, 5*2^3090860-1 is prime xxxx seconds. Thank you in advance, Carlos Last fiddled with by pinhodecarlos on 2012-09-05 at 11:13 |

I have just noticed that cllr64.exe ignores affinity setting in llr.ini file. Is it possible to set affinity for this windows executable other than through windows task manager?
