Try LHC in the titles. I get a no match message, witness the attached graphic. But there are 2 threads with LHC in their titles:

Didn't Mike have a "Really advanced search" option once?

We have the forum set to use "MySQL FULLTEXT search" rather than the search built into the forum software. We were told it is faster and uses less system resources.

Our guess is that words with 3 letters or less are not indexed.

Not quite all. I changed "LHC" to "number" and got two hits with omitted results, then 13 hits when I requested all the omissions be included.

OTOH, it's hard to believe this forum has only 13 occurrences of the word "number", or even only 13 threads containing the word "number".
