Yes, I deleted the thread. I am tempted to delete this thread too.

I recommend the aliquot sequences (from Christophe Clavier's Web site at http://christophe.clavier.free.fr/Al...ier_table.html) as a source of reasonable-sized random numbers for which there is some small fraction of a smidgeon of underlying interest.

Perhaps we could have a vote on the optimal number of posts. Something

I'm not much concerned about the raw number. If someone does 100 posts per day and all of them are insightful, more power to him! For content-free posts like 10metreh has posted in the last couple of days, even an average of 1/day would be plenty.

No, I didn't delete the F14 poll. I thought it was silly and noted that I planned to delete it, but I didn't delete it. I see, however, that it has been deleted. Is it possible you have annoyed one of the uber-moderators?

I deleted the 'F14' thread, but you'd explicitly told me to do that because you'd changed it to a poll.
