Hello,
I have two old PCs. Core 2 Duo and older processors, which task I can run on it that would be less sensitive to CPU speed in relation to other task types? Best Regards |

For the most part, any task you do in Prime95 is entirely dependent on the CPU type and speed. That said, some tasks also require high memory (e.g. P-1 stage 2) or have short runtimes (e.g. TF on high exponents and P-1), and so might be better choices for slower CPUs. Like Luigi said, if you have enough memory to devote to it, P-1 would be great, and would benefit GIMPS most of all. But of course, you are free and welcome to choose any work type you like.

P-1 would be the most bang for your buck if you have a slow computer with enough RAM.
