We've been slowly loosing ground to the Primenet P-1'ers. They've been gaining on us for a while now, and we're currently only about a month ahead of them.

This isn't the end of the world; we can release some candidates TF'ed to "only" 75 bits to feed them, and then bring those where a factor wasn't found to take to 76 bits before releasing them again for the LL'ers.

But, this is a bit of a maintenance pain for me, and slightly less optimal for Primenet's throughput. P-1'ing takes slightly less time the higher the candidate is TF'ed.

So, if anyone has any GPU compute they'd be willing to throw GPU72's way, it would be very much appreciated.

Relatedly, those who choose "What Makes Sense" or "Let GPU72 Decide", the system will sometimes assign work to only 75 bits instead of the nominal 76, depending on the current demand vs. availability situation.
Just a thought. If overall the TF76 and PM1 are both way ahead of the LL could it be that some PM1ers could switch to TF? I mean wasn't there a plea about a year ago for more PM1 because they were falling behind?

The issue there is P-1 is almost always done with CPUs. Doing TF'ing on a CPU just doesn't make any sense.

That was something like four years ago... How time flies, and things change! Primenet now has some seriously dedicated P-1'ers!

I've thought about doing PM-1 on my cluster, since they have lots of memory, but we keep falling behind on DC.

Recently jacking was p1ing like crazy but vanished just as quickly so the gap may close naturally.

One reason for all these may be that GPU mining is again crossing in the profitable territory (especially if you have access to cheap electricity) since some alt coins raised in price. Some of my "Tits" are looking in that direction... However, if we are falling behind, when I will get home tonight I will revive two old 580s and ask them politely to do some TF - they were able to spit out about one THzDays together (a bit less, but close to it).

It's been non-stop profitable for a year where I live. Buying new hardware has a one year doesn't make sense at the moment, but running existing hardware does.

Yeah. Also "Oliver Kruse" and "trebor".

The latter's P-1 assignments will expire in about a week. The former manually reserved about a thousand in 87M, which will expire around the end of the year.

I think we're going to be OK, but I prefer to have a bit more than a month's buffer.

I noticed that. Thanks.

However, I see your MISFIT is configured to get 332M, and then falls back to WMS to 71 bits (which the system automatically bumps to 72, in the 92M range). Any chance you could update your MISFIT(s) configuration to go to at least 75 bits?

All work is appreciated, but 92M won't be needed for a couple of years.

grrr.. sorry for that, I will fix it tonight (I didn't check the old config, just started, and later I had some troubles to access gpu72 stats because I could not remember the password, luckily misfit remembered it, but for me I had to dig into an old firefox config file where the password was still stored).

ktony has already moved most of his GPUs to LLTF'ing; I'm moving my three little GPUs up there later tonight.

There are some who specifically want to do DCTF'ing. And that's fine; it's their kit.
So, at this point is it more helpful for me to aim my ~800~gd/d at 75 bit or 76 bit targets?

Hey Chris, can you fix the individual cost per factor pages? they stop somewhere at 78M or so, and we already have a lot of activity in 92M. Maybe you can extend to 100M or so? And what about a third table with a range in 332M?
