Default GIMPS has reached a sustainable rate of progress

In the 4 years I have been a member here, throughput (Tflop/s)
has doubled.

The "wavefront" advances from 50M to 53 M in a year: 6% increase.
To maintain this 6%, an increase of 1.06^3 in computation is required.
In 4 years computation needed doubles.

This means that the probability of a prime per year remains at 15%.
Expected time for a prime is 6 years.

In 30 years time, the wavefront will approach the 100M digit mark.

End of Christmas Lecture.
Cheers all
