Yep, just delete it.

If you want to be removed as "Assigned" from the exponent, you can go to mersenne.org: "Account" - "My Account" - "Assignments", and checkmark the exponent and then checkmark below and click "Unreserve checked exponents".

I have not tried this on assignments that have expired, but it should work, but it is not needed if you do not care about being assigned on the exponent.

Digging up an old thread but I have a related but not exactly the same problem.

shows that daveward2005 completed PRP on this exponent in 2019. That seems a bit strange as I didn't think PRP existed then. I have been assigned PRP on this and am chugging away but confused whether 1) daveward2005 actually did PRP or LL. 2) If the former why am I doing PRP again instead of a cert.

PRP existed back in 2019. PRP with proof did not.

If you are also running PRP type 1 seed 3, yes, yours is a verification run aka PRP DC. Odds of residues matching are good because of GEC. (Some versions of gpuowl did PRP type 4 or 0 only. Type 1 seed 3 is standard for mprime/prime95 PRP. Final residues generally won't match between differing PRP types.)

Complete your test. Which should confirm the status of the exponent. And then the cert will make it double extra sure. The cert will be assigned to another user.
