Yes, there is - for sure - finite space for "ASCII art" on the exponent progress line. What I'm saying is that serious factoring attempts on less serious exponents ranges (resulting in remarkable bitmaps etc.) is done by choice of a single invidue and are (in general) helpful (yes, not currently). If someone wants to do factoring in this range he may do so if he is sincerly doing his calculations (that's my two cents) and I'm confident that his results are valid (at least in mayority).

New generation won't care about it.

I was thinking more along the lines of the number 4 in Xilman's avatar, or building two camel humps with a marble column in between...

@laurv. You're trying Xilman's Number 4 in the range 2,6G? Right? Or two camel humps? Anyway. You got my respect.

Wasn't me. In fact, we clarified as much of this on PM.
I was out of town for a week and currently I am dealing with a broken pump, so few of my assignments will be delayed, I have no time nor resources for high-range-low-bitlevel TF.

The respect goes both ways.

(but the guy with the NSA in 6.0 to 6.2G should get its slice of respect too, hehe - that has to be saved before somebody kills it!)

It's me doing the pyramid at 2666M. I know it will get run over soon (at least up to 71 bits) but it's a bit of fun while it lasts. Still growing it for a while, but no idea how long.

For the (few) people who don't know yet what we are talking about, there is a link in the first post of this thread. Watch the black line of "how far factored".
And you are welcome to join!
