The "*" indicates to factor, followed immediately by an LL primality test.
The "F" might actually mean the same thing. The factor depth limits have been adjusted in the Prime95 application, but I am under the impression that they have not been adjusted on the Primenet server. Therefore, there are some exponents that a "current" Prime95 client (version 24.11 and later) returns as sufficiently factored that the server treats as needing further factoring. You have both exponents assigned to you for LL testing. You may first see a P1 factoring test, but this will be followed by the LL primality test. The P1 test attempts to actually find a factor; the LL test is Boolean, it returns notPrime or Prime. The more memory you can assign to a P1 test, the more likely the test is to find a factor. An LL test requires relatively little memory. The LL test is completely processor bound. Personal question: Are you dominicanpapi from Project Gutenberg? Either way, welcome aboard!
