Is there any real math forum? I mean where you can ask any math question (i.e. homework, real problems and so on.)?

I bet you could ask either here or in the Lounge...

In regards to homework questions, I bet people here won't give you the answer, but I bet they will steer you in the right direction... (I know that's how I operate!)

In my opinion this math forum here originally was about math questions somewhat related to primes and tools to find them.

But i would appreciate it if 'normal' math questions or 'homework discussions' also pop up. I for myself have a lot of those 'basics' to learn. But perhaps the moderators should offer their opinion?

If it gets to confusing and the 'homework' questions begin to dominate, we could always divide the forum into e.g. 'math (mersenne related)' and 'math (other)'

I think so too. Even address (www.mersenneforum.org) seys so. If they divide forum into 'math (mersenne related)' and 'math (other), I am sure that number of members would increase.
Can we hear some moderator's opinion?

Although the forum was started to give people a place to discuss GIMPS and primes-related topics, I think Mike (xyzzy) would probably agree that any topics are ok, we even have a Bush vs. Clinton thread in the soapbox! Why not start a thread in this math forum and call it "other" math and see what people post there?
