Reminder: LUCAS_V.TXT = database file, verified-good LL results (at least one matching double-check) HRF3.TXT = database file, unverified LL results (no double-check, or double-check(s) don't match) BAD = database file, verified-bad LL results (these files are accessible from http://www.mersenne.org/status.htm or ftp://mersenne.org/gimps/ and are updated roughly weekly) Sometime user names are changed, and this is reflected in the LUCAS_V.TXT and HRF3.TXT files (old results are now credited to the new name instead of the old name). However, the user name change apparently does not get reflected in the BAD file. The old name remains there. Thus for instance, user PaJaSoft apparently changed its name to S112790 at some point. Results for this user are shown under the former name in BAD, but under the latter name for LUCAS_V.TXT and HRF3.TXT. Incidentally the file HRF5.TXT (user names) only shows the new name. So if it is ever desired to know who returned a bad result in the past, it may be impossible for the GIMPS project to trace the user's actual name and e-mail. Finally, this feature seriously hinders attempts to detect error-prone machines with a high ratio of bad/(bad+good) results, which might be useful in order to notify the owners of those machines, or to schedule early double-checks, etc. Thus for instance, Team_Italia/dudu has 43 verified-bad and 62 verified-good results (and four other Team_Italia computers seem to have high error rates); but on the other hand, every PaJaSoft computer appears to have 100% bad results and nearly every S112790 computer appears to have 100% good results, which disguises a machine like "aplus-router", with 25 verified-bad and 17 verified-good results. |

No. If it helps I can email you the complete file mapping old userids to new userids.
