To keep you all uptodate what is going on on the server side of the project.
I am working on a way to have the sieving submission via a webform. The form itself is already working. Now i have to do the database part and the user selection. This will be done in a very simple way. There will be a dropdown list with all registered usernames and you can select your name. There will be no login mechanism in place for now. Maybe i will implement something later. Then there will be a textarea for the factors and a checkbox if you report SOB factors yourself or via PSP. When the form is working as expected i will port it for use with SR5. Next i will have a look at some of the sieving stats from SOB and implement some of them as extra information. Now for the bad part. For all hoping for BOINC at PSP i must say that i do not have enough time to look into it and administer such a server. ( Also it looks like the resource needs of a BOINC server are much higher then what i have available) Cheers, Lars |

Update:
The form works on the beta server. For the beginning it will look something like this(Very straite forward and very uggly): http://www.beta.psp-project.de/sieveimp.php (Only runs with the beta k values. You will get the error wrong k if you try to test the form with normal factors) I have tested the form with sets of more then 4400 factors and it worked without any problems. It takes several seconds(<10) to return with that kind of load. Next step is testing the real platform with the additional difficulty that there are the SOB factors. The first release will not support range factors. They will be dropped. Cheers, Lars Edit: One remark: the form has one error it shows the user "team effort" which is only used internal.
