xilman was correct: 2, 4, 6, 30, 32, 34, 36, 40, 42, ..., 2000, 2002, 2004, ...

Once one knows the rule for the series, one can determine directly whether any specific integer is a member or not, without needing to know any of the preceding series members. (I guess that was said before.)

The series rule has nothing to do with primality, but it just coincidentally happens that the only prime in the series is 2. There is no odd number in the series, but that's just another coincidence because the rule has nothing to do with being a multiple of 2.

Blurting more clue:

66 is a member of the series, but 666 is not.

In fact, the series goes 2, 4, 6, 30, 32, 34, 36, 40, 42, ..., 66, 2000, 2002, 2004, ...

There is no series member between 66 and 2000.

Cheesehead,

I'm from the northwest US, and use the "and" in numbers very rarely. The only place I always seem to use "and" is to replace a missing tens or hundreds value (or both):
-- 309,472 I would read as "three hundred and nine thousand, four hundred seventy-two."
-- 5,011 = five thousand and eleven.
-- 2,063,056 = two million and sixty-three thousand fifty-six.*

*I don't use 2 in a row, which one I leave out is random. :?

Hmm, I have an idea for a poll in the Lounge.

I figured the rule out. Is it okay to tell now?

Personally, I think that this puzzle has run its course and then some .. if someone were to give out the answer, I don't think anybody would get their feelings hurt
