I just changed over to the January one the other day. I'm getting a speed improvement across all the systems over what I was getting prior to the change.

Yup, there has been some serious effort put in on the sieving effort..... however it should all be kept in perspective here. The prime (no pun intended) winner here is the project. And while we at AMD_Users have taken the corner on the sieving effort over Rechenkraft.net, we should remain focused on the fact that Rechenkraft.net has put one heck of an amount of work into this project and also SOB for a long time before we got involved in this effort. Rechenkraft has been working away at the LLR efforts, combined sieving and helping that get rolling along with many other behind-the-scenes things that go on here, kindly allowing us to overtake the sieving -- all for the good of the project.

As I posted on the AMD_Users forum, while I've gathered a lot of sieving points, I wouldn't have done this and stayed as focused on the effort without the rest of the team members from all the teams here being just as focused in their abilities and efforts towards the PSP project. I think it is really super that we all have pushed PSP's envelope as far as we have so far this year. But most of all, in my view, it is the dedication of Lars that has really impressed me.

Another really important item here is that the AMD_Users are not "math weenies" and mathematically speaking we aren't even out of our diapers in this regard. And in spite of our rather immature questions and all, the math weenies here have been very helpful and polite to us in their explaining and re-explaining really complex stuff to us... though I'm sure to them it is all rather simple. But the outcome of it all is that we feel very welcome and appreciated here, and we really thank all of you for that. So all in all, this is a great group of people here, from all over this planet, and we are having a great time and that's what keeps us involved here! :)
