Default 2^764P reached 100%

Another one bites the dust!

I guess that soon the server will stop issuing lines to the sievers, even if it is necessary to go a bit beyond 100% it won't be much longer.

Is there another big number in queue for after this one finishes?

EDIT:
I know 2^764P is far from finished. I was just referring to the sieving part. :P

I believe that 2,797+ (with GNFS) is next.

Opinions are divided, even within the NFSNET admin team.

It's looking more likely that 2,1466L.c220 with SNFS will be next. I built the config files for that one a week or so ago and Richard is performing double checks on them for safety (he may already have finished).

I finished configuring sieving parameters for 2,797+ yesterday and turned the results over to Richard.

You had previously suggested that "only" 733 bits was too easy for NFSNET.

Which one will you do? George Woltman has 2,797+ listed as
'reserved', so if you are not going to do it, you should release it
so someone else can.

Does anyone know what Franke & Co. are doing? Mayhaps working
on a kilobit factorization? They have been strangely quiet.

The LA for 2,820+ will finish in 3 days and 2,815- is about 1/3 sieved.
2,833+ will be next. I have not decided what to do after that. Maybe
2,1017+.

Both. Sam has reserved both of them for us.

Good!

I learned from Richard this morning that he had started the changeover to the new project.

Btw, since I can't do any new factorisations on the cluster, please feel free to choose 3,479+ or 3,499+ for NFSNET if you like.
