Hello,
Can someone give me a paper where the density of smooth numbers is precisely described (and proven). Especially the proofs of some theorems (e.g. Dickman or Canfield/Erdös/Pomerance) are important. |

Pretty much the standard paper on Dickman's function is Knuth and Trapp-Pardo, Analysis of a simple factorization algorithm, Theoretical Computer Science 3, 1976. If you use Citeseer on this paper you can find a host of newer publications on the subject.
