I just got a new computer and I wanted to run prime95 optimally but don't know what are the best settings regarding # of workers and # of cores to use. I have a:
13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13700 2.10 GHz 16 GB RAM OS: Windows 11 Pro |

Look under the Advanced menu option for Benchmark. Make sure that it tests all combinations of number of workers up to the number of cores you have. |

I've found benchmarking to be difficult on Windows (laptop). Windows throttles the CPU seemingly at random and routinely starts up various CPU cycle stealing services. On top of that I often have Firefox running with several open tabs.
My advice, run the throughput benchmark a few times and ignore outlier results. |
