That´s indeed what I expect. For my next upgrade I´ll stick to the 7900X as I use to work with small exponents. DDR5 will make a difference, for sure. |

Running at roughly 4.6GHz all cores (both 3D V-Cache and non 3D V-Cache CCD) at around 0.92V Core VID and 1.2V SOC, PPT is around 115-120W, possibly one of the most efficient (if not the most efficient) consumer products for wavefront PRP. This particular chip I have isn't stable at 6000MHz RAM with 4 sticks, and there are negligible benefits going from 5600 to 6000MHz anyways. Large page mode is enabled for prime95.

Due to AMD Zen architecture, that uses chiplet design and unified cache per chiplet, for example 7950X has 16 cores, 2 chiplets of 8 cores and 32MB of L3 cache per chiplet, with total of 64MB.
Basically, can be threated as 2 CPU's in one. L3 Cache has a ring hierarchy for execution, so better performance is achieved with all cores doing same task than having 8 seperate tasks pushing the cache. With Zen 5, expected in 2024, they will reengineer L3 Cache hierarchy system, maybe allowing 8 seperate workers to surpass 1 worker with 8 cores. But, will see in the future.
