Here is an extract from Wikipedia about certain aspects of schizotopy: "Both the unusual experiences and cognitive disorganisation aspects have been linked to creativity and artistic achievement." So, Henryzz is good in my book.

May we come back to the original topic? We could of course spawn a new thread with mastermind-like rules.
My personal opinion: It is more fun to not use a word that it as difficult as possible.

Although I'm tending toward not participating often due to this becoming more of a programming exercise than a mind puzzle, I tend to agree that if mastermind is prefered, a separate thread should be started (or the title changed). |

I think this was already established at the outset.
Good idea. |

I would prefer to split the mastermind variant, the last word having been rather fiendish to solve, unfortunately. (My next guess would have been phytosophy, which I found through various brute forces of possible anagrams, but these searches were all in vain as they lacked the letter C as an input). Mastermind can be solved algorithmically (there’s a very efficient one by Knuth) but I would prefer to see simpler examples that don’t require extraordinary methods.
I am using a couple of scripts, but typically to verify my work after I’ve gone to the effort to find viable guesses with my head. For example with joyride, I came up with provide and bromide as possible guesses (and discovered after I double checked that outride and joyride were also possible words). |
