Quick question:
Before settling on the exponent I reserved just above (332218907), I briefly plugged the CERT= line for 63261689 into my worktodo.txt to get an estimate on how long it would take (I'm still getting a feel for how CERT processing times scale). I decided to go with 332218907 instead since this computer runs intermittently and I figured I'd bite off something smaller for my first try at this, but I want to make sure I didn't accidentally reserve 63261689 as a result of that timing check (I tried disconnecting from the Internet to prevent this, but it seems mprime has to download the starting values from PrimeNet to start the cert). I don't think mprime got the chance to actually communicate a reservation to PrimeNet before I stopped the timing check and removed it from worktodo.txt. I see it's still listed as reserved by "-Anonymous-". But I also see that Uncwilly just removed it from the list of available certs at the top of this thread. Did he take it for himself (or remove it for some other reason), or did I accidentally claim it from the server? I don't see it in my assignments list on PrimeNet, but I want to make sure I'm not holding up an exponent as a result of messing something up. If I did accidentally reserve 63261689, I'll be happy to finish it (I saved the assignment line in a text file just in case), but it might take a week or so.

Odd that it will start a Cert run, downloading the file, yet PrimeNet did not assign the exponent until I did a manual coms. Maybe George has a reason for this. |

In my (admittedly limited) experience, either a manual comms or the periodic (daily) comms is required for PrimeNet to recognize that a machine is processing a certification that was manually added to worktodo.txt.

Today, I took some of the certification assignments and I may have exceeded the assignment limit in my worktodo.txt file. The last one dropped off and is lost.
I checked undoc.txt and added a MaxExponents=20 line to my prime.txt file. I don't see the missing assignment in my personal account assignment details. How can I get it back? The number is 81034027. Thinking it might have been released, I unsuccessfully attempted to reserve it again. Thank you for your help. |

Did you get an error message when trying to reserve it again?
You could add it to your worktodo file without an assignment ID. No one is working in the 81 million area. |

Also add UnreserveDays, to a large number like 1000, too. Sometimes if the CPU is busy it may miscalculated the number of days of work you have.
