I think the title was changed on April 1st. Which woud fit with a prank. But I can't remember for sure.

It was indeed a prank, one of many which happen in these parts. I left the title sufficiently close to the original that anyone would know the subject of th e thread.

Apologies for causing offence. As far as I know this is the first time it has happened in a very long history of such changes to thread titles.

my electrical bill for the last year will come soon and I searched the actual price for 1 kWh:
I saw two companies in Germany which offer 1kWh for 0,49 Euro instead of 0,32 Euro for this year.
Normally I calculate with 3500 kWh / year.

This is not a good development, the Euro reaches the Dollar in parity today.
A lot of money burns down.

I recently saw where Germany has shuttered all its nuclear plants except for three. Those will close too. They are reportedly going back to coal for electrical generation. This is a big step backward for them. What are they afraid of?

Germany announced its plan to phase out nuclear power plants in 2011. It seems that the accident at TMI and the kerflooey at Chernobyl helped fuel popular opposition to nukes.

I mentioned the possibility of Germany turning to coal for generating electricity in this post in the thread about the Ukraine war.
