No we are not merging with 15k prime search. Actually the 15k should be 14k and refers to the k's that are left for which a prime needs to be found.

Once angain, I would like to contradict you. There is no need to sieve every single range SoB has already doublechecked before joining the efforts. If PSP has not completely caught up until SoB firstpass reaches 2^50, it is no big deal. The only point is to reduce the size of the dat fil reasonably so that the speed impact is as small as possible. But if PSP catches up to 30G or 50G, it is not a big difference.
When SoB takes up DC again, everybody will do the joint ranges.
From that moment of, PSP-catch-up can wait, as it doesn't find urgent factors.

All I am saying is: let's do things well, in a manner that in one or two years we don't have to think about what we could have done better, how to fix it, and stuff. That would be a waste of ressources, hardware ressources and human time ressources. There is a DC-opportunity now, not later.
And again: there is no hurry. These are long-term projects, anyway.

If you think sieve is a priority, doing a little less PRP at the moment, is better then to opt for the cheap, but less durable solution, IMHO.
