This was spotted today using a biological optical sensor. It was recorded with a CMOS device.

It appears to be below the clouds. The clouds look like cirrus, which are usually around 20,000 feet. So probably less than 20,000 feet.

Just curious. How do you know it was an ER-2 and not a U-2 ?

Oops, I made an ERRor. The ER-2's are in a white livery. I was near a place the ER-2's are known to fly. The standard U-2s are not based at this location (this is their normal home base). It looks like a U-2R (which the ER-2s derive from) not the older versions. In a PM I can go into details of the sighting.
