The Ark was a wooden box overlaid with gold and a lid of gold with statues on it. It didn't "work". It was a representation of where God would meet with the Priests. It was most likely lost/taken/melted in Babylon.

The Bible's account of the arrest and trial, etc. is how it went. (Don't believe the Catholic church's add-ons).

Nothing.

There was some new info about the Amber Room in the last few months. I can't find the details at the moment. It was on Stuff You Missed in History Class (I think on an "Unearthed" episode in the last 6 months.

Great podcast.

IIRC, there is a supposition that it is at the bottom of the Baltic Sea on a German ship sunk near the end of the war.

That's no brainer, the egg for sure. Dinosaurs laid eggs long before anybody had any idea what a chicken was.

My own (one of them): Asking Fermat about his famous proof. I already made a plan (long ago) how to get to him without affecting the past, assuming we would live in the same time, in the same geographic area.

I remember reading a story about a guy going to the past to see if Jesus was for real, and he ends up healing some guys there using some pills he carried, making wine from water, and walking on some lake (of course, with the modern technology he took with him), therefore the people were afraid and envious and put him on a cross, but in the last moment he could contact his team in the future and they brought him back, with a big splash of light which caused the temple building in the past where they were detaining him, to crack, or something.

No, I don't imagine being myself Fermat, haha. But I imagine myself telling Fermat about his famous numbers not being prime, and about how much thunderstorm he did/will do in the future, as stupid bad mouth as I am, I could not keep that a secret, and on the other hand, I could not stop making him happy for a change, telling him that he is a renown mathematician for the generations that came, and that it took many centuries for his "side note" to be proved, but if I want to avoid returning to a totally different present, I would have to tell him that just before his death, so he would have no time to write a new book or something, and change the future. That wouldn't be a problem, because I know exactly when he died, and where, from the internet. Then, guess what caused his death?

I would like to go back and hear J.S. Bach himself playing the organ.

See how the pyramids were built.
See if Jesus really did walk on water, or if it was some trick, or whatever.
See if Muhammad really did talk to Allah.
See if that Mormon guy really did find the tablets.

But more than all those:
See how life began on this planet.

So you are saying that I am god, because I started life on this planet.

I always said you are, your Darkness! Evil or God, it makes no difference to me, both are some interesting, advanced beings, with which I would like to associate, or at least talk sometimes... Never had the occasion (except when I was very small, and forced by the larger people around me to "say my prayers", haha, but I am totally convinced that nobody was listening).

If I have the chance to travel to the future and be given the same condition that I cannot influence the future. I'd like to find out when and how this will happen?

"World War III" -> The exact starting time, the aftermath consequence whether it'll be severe enough to decimate the human kinds? Does the Covid pandemic have any connections to the pre-phase of this secret plan?

"USA + European Union + Israel" vs "Russia + China + Islamic Republic", this is only my current guess. Neither the Allies nor the Axis will win, they'll end up destroying each other during the 3rd massive conflict match.

Have the recording device operating in the future world will be super valuable in this scenario because I can have the influence in the present world.

If I were restricted to the past ~14 billion years, I'd pick the creation of the universe. If a more recent time is required, my choices would be:

Earth-Theia impact: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giant-impact_hypothesis , if restricted to the past ~4.5 billion years.

K-Pg impact, if restricted to the past ~500 million years.

Resurrection of Jesus, if restricted to the past ~1 million years.

Mallory's potential 1924 summit of Everest, if restricted to the past 100 years. This was ~30 years before the first official ascent.

The inner workings of Area 51, if restricted to the present day.

This brings to mind a famous short story I read for the first time in the 1970's, in which anthology I don't remember. I'm sure it's on the publications list at the ISFDB. The story is Adam and No Eve by Alfred Bester. The list begins with the September 1941 issue of ASTOUNDING Science-Fiction.
